Cardboard pyramids

Few monuments of the ancient world exude as much mystery, wonder and romance as the pyramids of Egypt. Historians and archaeologists are still to unravel its mystique in totality. Shrouded in its geometrical constitution and archaeological marvel is one ancient power that seems to have risen like a phoenix to heal the people of the world.
That is the soothing touch of pyramidology or more colloquially termed as the pyramid therapy. Many people have recorded that they had experienced some sort of divine energy inside the pyramids, especially in the great grand pyramid and in that of the Cheops, including Napoleon who stayed one night in the main chamber of the great pyramid and felt the influence of some sort of power which he could not describe or relate to.
Engineers and scientists have proved the presence of power by showing how a blunt metal object gets sharpened when kept inside a pyramid and how the shape of the pyramid can preserve perishable items for years. They also conclude that the isoteric geometrical shape of the pyramid helps in reversing the metal fatigue in league with the magnetic field.
But Paul Brunton the renowned theosophist and staunch disciple of Bhagawan Ramana Maharshi, noted that the pyramids "are microprocessors of cosmic energy and wrapped in a hallucinating mystery". He claimed to have learnt a few occult truths about the powers of these edifices while meditating in the crypt of the grand pyramid.
Whatever could be the powers of those majestic structures they seem to make their presence felt after almost 5,000 years, in the form of a therapy in today's context. Different people have evolved and devised different forms of pyramid structures to suit the conveniences of the patient.
But one person form Vizag who is a medical practitioner of repute is fully convinced about the healing powers of pyramid and is now administering the therapy on his patients, after successfully experimenting it on himself. He is Sada Siva Rao.
Two years ago he stumbled on a small pyramid like structure in his spiritual guru's ashram. Accidentally he placed the small structure on his head and was attentively listening to the discourse of his guru. That night he could not catch sleep though he had a hectic day. But what was even more surprising was that he did not feel tired and rather felt rejuvenated with a fresh lease of energy. This was the beginning of his quest with the pyramid like objects.
Being a voracious reader, Dr. Sada Siva Rao gathered a lot of details regarding pyramidology and based on his personal experiments he concluded that if a person was made to sit facing north for 10 to 20 minutes in a still position with a pyramid made of glistening white paper board placed on his head, the cosmic energy would flow through the object into his body.
"Since our body is made of various forms of energies, this cosmic energy which is the ultimate energy and the source of all living being will rejuvenate the existing energy and help in healing the majority of the ailments. The power is so strong that it will subdue all bad elements within our body and has the capacity to reduce substantially any form of pain and discomfort."
He also says that by practising this therapy one can enhance one's hidden powers and occult senses. Dr. Sada Siva Rao is now adept with `thaumaturgy' and has developed the additional senses of healing through telepathy.
"Peruvian pyramid structures that were built by the Aztecs are more suitable for healing as they have a uniform process of energy distribution rather than the Egyptian models that are more dynamic, and a weak-minded person may find it difficult to absorb," he says.
Though medicine is his first love, he modestly admits that he is a beginner with this ancient therapy and has to go a long way.
People are adopting with strong faith and belief the therapies that had made an impression thousands of years ago like yoga, reiki and now this pyramid therapy.
